Harriet E. Gott, 90, of Belvidere, formally of Capron, died peacefully, November 29, 2014. Harriet was born January 14, 1924 in Waterman, IL. Daughter of Carl J. and Ethel Lone (Swift) Ritter. She was a graduate of Boone-McHenry Township High School, Class of 1942 in Capron, IL. She married James J. Reser on March 11, 1943, divorced in 1965. He passed away on July 4, 2006. Married Charles G. Gott, April 5, 1969, he passed away on February 17, 1995. Harriet enjoyed embroidery, word search puzzles, books, playing piano/organ, card games, bingo, and visiting with family and friends.

She will be missed by her daughters, Donna (Gene) West of Poplar Grove, LaVon (Bill) Baxter of Florida, Diana Harris of Rockford, Connie McHugh of Ohio; son-in-law Charles Wilcox, along with her sisters, Dorothy Rumple of Rockford, Barbara Schultz of Harvard, Donna Koltz; brother-in-law David Lungwitz, Paul (Janet) Ritter of California, Gene (Arla) Ritter of Oregon; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Harriet is predeceased by her parents; brother, Douglas Ritter; sister, Margaret "Peg" Lungwitz; sons-in-law, Dean Nemec, Mike Glass, Joe Harris, Tim McHugh, and grandson Mikey Glass.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2015 at 11:00 am in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Pastor Dale Anderson and Pastor Scott Nellis co-officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
