Harold Becker, 82 of Belvidere, Il died Thursday, April 17, 2014 in his home after a sudden illness.  Harold was born January 17, 1932 in Chicago, Il the son of Fred and Mary Becker.  Harold worked for Ingersoll Milling of Rockford and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army.  He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the John Hugo Kaiser VFW Post 1461.

He is survived by his sons, Hal (Suzanne) Becker of San Antonio, TX, John (Estela) Becker of Poplar Grove, George (Megan) Becker of Belvidere and Alan (Kimberly) Becker of Loves Park; 10 grandchildren; brother Fred Becker of Georgia.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Jane.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Service at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Il with Rev. Brian Geary, pastor of St. James Catholic Church Celebrating.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to time of Mass on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
