Harlan Kolthoff, 59, of Garden Prairie, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. Harlan was born February 3, 1956 in Rockford, IL to Harold and Louise (Wright) Kolthoff. He married Carol (Hoffman) Kolthoff August 10, 1975 in Belvidere, IL. Harlan worked for Acument Global Technologies in Belvidere, IL.  Harlan was passionate about guitars, Harley-Davidsons, painting cars, guns, country music, Mustangs, gardening and his tractors. Above everything, Harlan loved his family.

Harlan will be loved and missed by his wife, Carol; parents, Harold and Louise; Children, Daniel (Angi) Kolthoff, Lisa (Jeremy) Havens, Jason (Jennee) Kolthoff; sisters, Barbara (Patrick Hogan) Kolthoff, Sandra (Jim) Dollman; brother-in-law, Bill (Lora) Hoffman, Dave (Colleen) Hoffman; sister-in-law, Karen Hoffman; grandchildren, Kaylynn and Eric Havens, Max and Van Kolthoff, Nathan, Madelynn, Abigail and Lucas Kolthoff. Harlan is predeceased in death by his brother, Curtis Kolthoff; brother-in-law, Douglas Hoffman; mother-in-law, Rosemary Hoffman.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008.
