Dr. Gregory G. Gibbons, 61, of Belvidere, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 19, 2020. Greg was born to Robert and Anna (Lipelt) Gibbons on August 9, 1959 in Huron, South Dakota. Greg married the love of his life, Shannon Flynn, on May 17, 1996 in Rockton, IL at the Church by the Side of the Road. Greg graduated from Belvidere High School, Eastern Illinois University and National College of Chiropractic. Greg was a chiropractor that ran and operated Elgin Physical Health Center in Elgin, IL for over 30 years. Greg loved spending time on big water with family and friends. The family's cottage in Door County was Greg's place of peace. Greg was passionate about his family especially his children.He was a constant support in each of their endeavors. Greg loved his children unconditionally and was beyond proud of who they have become. Greg made his spiritual home at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL where he served faithfully as a deacon. He will be missed by all.

Greg is loved and missed by his wife, Shannon; children, Marshall (Madelyn) Gibbons, Madison Gibbons, Mallory Gibbons; mother, Anna Gibbons; siblings, Jeffrey (Ellen) Gibbons, Peggy (Bradley) Sassaman; In-laws, Jim (Sonja) Flynn, Tim Flynn, Dan Flynn, Desi McGee, Pat Flynn, Jody (Julie) Flynn, Kerry Flynn, Erin Johnson, Courtney (Mark) Salvador as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Gibbons; mother-in-law, Rita Branham and sister-in-law, Cathy Flynn.

The walk-through visitation will be held from 1:00- 2:45 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 E. Belvidere Road, Belvidere, IL 61008. Please enter door 4 at the church for visitation. The memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the church.
