Grace E. Tomamichel, 102 of Rockford and a former longtime Boone County resident, passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, September 12, 2014 in Emeritus of Rockford.  Grace was born March 10, 1912 in Irving, Illinois the daughter of Oscar J. and Pearl Nellie (Durston) Eddington.  She married Everett R. Tomamichel on October 5, 1940 in St. Charles, Mo; he preceded her in death on November 18, 1991.  Grace graduated from Irving high School in 1930; she was a homemaker and excellent seamstress.  Grace was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Belvidere; a charter member of Jabos Square Dance Club, Forest City Squares; as well as being a member of the Belvidere Hobby Club and a former Girl Scout Leader.

Grace is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Karen (Gary) McCoy of Belvidere; grandchildren, Shawn VanCura of Belvidere and Mindi (Lance) VanCura Wilkinson of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett; brothers, James and Robert and son, Gerald.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dr. Bob Kopp, of First Presbyterian Church officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
