Grace V. Maculan, 85 of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, February 5, 2018 at University Hospital, Madison, WI following a short illness.  Grace was born November 11, 1932 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Anthony F. and Margarette M. (Yale) Palmeno.  She married Peter R. Maculan on November 12, 1949 in Rockford.  Grace enjoyed working.  She began her career in the office of Sundstrand's before managing a restaurant; which led her to open and run Mac's Snack Shop in Belvidere.  As of recent, she has been the bookkeeper for Maculan Chiropractic Clinic.  Grace was also a loving mother who was a great problem solver and very empathetic.  She enjoyed helping her family and loved her grandchildren.  Grace was also a very technologically savvy person who loved bookkeeping and computers.  She enjoyed flower gardens.  Grace made her spiritual home at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere.

Grace is loved and will be missed by her children, Judith Maculan (John Penoyar) of Hinesburg, VT, Diane Maculan of Belvidere, Angela Graw (Bob) of Brookfield, WI, P. Robert Maculan (Cathy) of Rockford, Amelia Crawford (Jed) of Lyons, CO; grandchildren, Anna Penoyar, Sean Stephenson, Erin Ogunsanya, Adam Graw, Elle Maculan, Peter Maculan, Grace Crawford, Rose Crawford, Jack Crawford; Great-grandchildren, Zoe Stephenson, Lorenzo Stephenson, Olivia Graw, Emmeline Graw; nieces and nephews.  Grace is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Richard, James, Joseph and Anthony Palmeno.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008.  Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2018 in St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church Street, Belvidere, IL with Rev.
