Loving Father and "Papa" Rockford, Gordon St. Bernard 81Gordon St. Bernard, Loving father and "Papa" of Rockford and formerly of Blissfield Michigan entered into heaven at Rockford Memorial Hospital September 19, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. Gordon was born July 22, 1925 the son of William and Laura (Perry) St. Bernard. He attended school at Blissfield High School in Michigan. Gordon later married the love of his life Delores Michalska in St. Anthony Michigan. He was employed at The Bundl Tyre for 27 years as a machinist. After retirement Gordon enjoyed working at Prime Automation and was fondly known as "Gordy's Express". Gordon also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. His other hobby was collecting toy tractors. Gordon is survived by his loving children, Janet (Dennis) McMullen of Roscoe IL, Robert St. Bernard of Bluefield W. Virginia, and Michael St. Bernard of Lansing Michigan; cherished "Papa" of Julie (Jesus) Saez-Gimeno, Laura (Craig) Barkley, Andrea McMullen, Danny McMullen, Raeanne St. Bernard, and Janette St. Bernard; fond great grandfather of Gracie Barkley, Elena Saez-Gimeno, Javier Saez-Gimeno, and Mikayla Barkley; and brother Harold St. Bernard of Tecumseh, Michigan. Gordon is predeceased by his parents, wife, sisters Loretta Delaney and Irene Wagner. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday September 21, 2006 at Christ United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Wisdom officiating. Entombment will take place at a later date in Sylvania Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Gordon's name to the family. Arrangements made by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home.
