Gloria Ruth Peck, 79, of Belvidere, passed away on February 10, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1946, the daughter of Julia (Anderson) and Earl Hoeg.

Gloria grew up in Belvidere and later spent some time in Florida with her aunt before returning home, where her beautiful life truly began to unfold. It was there she built a loving marriage with Donald and began her lifelong career as a hairdresser. They were married on March 14, 1964, and shared 62 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with three children.

Gloria first worked at Richard's Hairdressing before opening her own cozy shop in her home. She poured her heart into her work and cherished every conversation in her chair. Her clients quickly became dear friends. Gloria had a warm smile, a gentle spirit, and a joyful sense of humor. She was fun-loving, kind, and had a way of making everyone feel special and welcome.

She found great happiness tending to her beautiful flower garden, where her green thumb brought vibrant blooms year after year. A woman of deep and steadfast faith, Gloria lived with grace, compassion, and spread joy to those she loved.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Gloria is survived by her husband Donald Peck; their children, Michael Peck, Donny (Barb) Peck, Jenny (Scott) Jones, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even grand-dogs. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly.

She is welcomed into heaven by her parents, Julia and Earl Hoeg, and siblings, Gladys, Glenna, Gary, Keith and Howard.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are scheduled at this time.
