Gloria Kirchner, 84, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully, December 13, 2024, in Belvidere. She was born May 7, 1940, in Detroit, MI, daughter to Ralph and Ruthalee (Darling) Ridley. Gloria graduated high school and worked for Northwest Railroad as a clerk. She married her sweetheart, the late James Kirchner, Sr on November 14, 1959, in Detroit.  She was a long-time member of Imanuel Lutheran Church and the president of The Greatest Grama Club!

Gloria's interests include canning her fruits and vegetables, garage sailing and most importantly her family. Gloria was loving and caring to everyone she met and wanted nothing more than to take those in need under her wings. She will be missed.

Gloria is loved and missed by her sons, Jim Jr. (Renee) and Bob Kirchner; sisters, Sandy (Gene) Stockero and Gail Jackson; grandchildren, Amy, Jim III (Kelli), Kyle, Hayley, Ciara, Hannah; great-grandchildren, Mariah, Peyton, C.J., Addi, and Dawson; sister-in-law, Eileen (Dave) Schultz; special niece, Patti Walton and many nieces and nephews; and special adopted kids.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Mike; daughter, Linda Rogula; two brothers, Gerry and Tom; in-laws, Jake and Hazel Kirchner; brother in-law, Jerry and Don Kirchner; sister in-law, Janet Picco; and great- granddaughter, Avery Rose Kirchner.

A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL, 61008. A funeral will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Rd., Belvidere, IL 61008. Rev. Keith Richard and Rev. Richard Wagner will officiate. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Gloria's honor to the family.
