Belvidere, ILGloria I. Chapko 77, Belvidere, IL died unexpectedly Monday, August 1, 2011 in her home. Gloria was born October 24, 1933 in the town of Christina, Cambridge, WI the daughter of Orvin and Genevieve (Naset) Nottestad. She grew up and spent her early life in Cambridge. She graduated from Cambridge High School with the class of 1951. Gloria married Rudolph Chapko on August 22, 1953 in Cambridge. She was a loving wife and mother and had a quick wit and was a true and loyal friend. Gloria enjoyed quilting, cooking and most of all; she loved the time spent with family and friends. She was employed at Marshall Fields in the cash office, White-Sundstrand and Warner Lambert. Gloria was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.Survivors include her husband, Rudy of Belvidere; children Kathy Chapko of Glenview, IL, Dr. James Chapko and daughter in-law Elena of Belvidere; sisters, Geraldine (Daniel) Trieloff of Poplar Grove, Irene (Paul) Nelson of Stoughton, WI,; sister in-law, Beverly Nottestad; brother in-law, Warren Jarlsberg of Cambridge, WI several nieces, nephews and other relatives.Gloria is predeceased by her parents, brothers, Earl, Alvin, Clyde and sister, Iris Jarlsberg.
