Glorene Harris, 89, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Monday evening, February 12, 2018 at the Atrium in Rockford, IL. She was born August 24, 1928 in Thompsonville, IL, the daughter of Eli and Minnie (Bolen) Summers. Glorene married Kenneth E. Harris on October 19, 1947 in Benton, IL. She was employed as a manager in the bakery at Pacemaker Foods retiring in 1988. Glorene enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and gardening. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, liked playing cards, and being outdoors. Most of all, she adored her family.

Glorene is loved and missed by her children, Virginia (Sam) Gueydan of Big Sandy, TN, and Eric (Beth) Harris of Roscoe; grandchildren, Teresa (Ray) Wennmacher, Trevor (Sue) Towns, Nathan (Hope) Thrun, Brandon and Maddie Guyette, great-grandchildren, Brooke, Amanda, Ashley, Austin, Owen, Harrison and Jackson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth, granddaughter, Melinda Harris, and siblings, James Summers, Naomi Allen, and Emil Sapp.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. John Brennan offiicating.
