Glen L. Love, 86, of Belvidere, died surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 21, 2008 in Illinois Veteran's Home, LaSalle, Illinois following a short illness. He was born July 14, 1922 in Roscoe, Illinois, the son of Walter and Iva (Seyller) Love. Glen married Florence Braun in rural Boone Co., Illinois on February 20, 1949. He was a farmer and also worked for Cam-Car in Rockford, retiring in 1981. He served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1945 to 1946. Glen was a former member of Capron Lutheran Church and was a member of the Cam-Car retirees group. He is survived by his daughter, Noreen (Ron) Victorine, Poplar Grove; twin sons, Les (Gail) Love, Poplar Grove and Wes (Debra) Love, Capron; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly) Victorine, Sara (John) Huser, Jill (Jonathan) Nehring, Trisha (Shane) Wynstra, Steve (Sara)Love, Scott (Kristin) Love, Angela (Shane) Sammons and Brian (Julie Vermett) Love; ten great grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Rhodes, Marge (Leonard) Bloese, Bernice (Robert) Tessman, Joanne (Melvin) Small, Patricia (Paul) Tiernan, six brothers, Kenneth Love, Lynn (Ruth) Love, Jack (Mary) Love, Bob (Evelyn) Love, Jim (Ruth) Love, George (Carole) Love; two sister-in-laws, Ruth Love and Geri Love; special friend, Alma Lambert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; parents; two sisters, Mary Braun and Verna Goddard; three brothers, Walter, Donald and John Love. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care provided by the staff of Illinois Veterans Home-LaSalle.
