Belvidere, IllinoisGertrude E. Shattuck, 87, a life long Belvidere resident died Monday afternoon, June 11, 2007 in her home. Gertrude was born February 27, 1920 in Belvidere the daughter of Maynard and Gertrude (Boyle) Fane. She attended St. James School and graduated from Belvidere High School. Gertrude married Loren T. Shattuck on August 20, 1945 in Belvidere. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Flora Grange, Boone County Historical Society and was a charter member of Jabos Square Dance Club of Rockford.Survivors include her children, Roger (Donna) Shattuck of Belvidere, Wayne (Cindy) Shattuck of Poplar Grove; grandchildren, Todd Shattuck (fiancée Lyn Blashaski) of Rockford, Nicole (Brian) Schachtner of Rockford, Angela (Stacey) Green of Caledonia, Melissa Shattuck (Fiancé Chad Paulson) of Rockford, Tom Shattuck of Belvidere great grandchildren, Ryland, Sam, Chance Green; brother, Donald (Mary Claire) Fane of Chandler, AZ; sister in-laws Marjorie (Clyde) Anderson of Belvidere, Carol Fane of Creswell, Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews. Gertrude is predeceased by her parents, husband, Loren T. Shattuck; brother, Arthur Fane; sister in-law Mildred Shattuck Cummins and brother in-law, Dr. James Cummins.The family wishes to thank Kathy Knowles, Kristina Petty, and Gerelmaa Lkhundevcholyon, of Personal home care for their loving care and kindness.

A memorial in Gertrude's name will be established with St. James Catholic Church.
