Geri M. Lester, 76, of Poplar Grove, IL died Monday morning, December 11, 2006 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness. Geri was born August 29, 1930 in Crawford County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gerald and Helen (Hays) George.Geri married Larry Lester on June 24, 1978 in the Harvard United Methodist Church and enjoyed 28 wonderful years of marriage. Geri spent many hours watching C.MT. or Texas Hold Em, keeping Larry busy with the house decorations, sewing clothes for her grandchildren and friends. Geri loved spoiling her grand kids during the over night stays and then sending them home. She met many people while bartending and waitressing.She also had a lot of fun at the horse races and casinos. She will be missed by her husband, Larry; children, Goldie (Matt) Barlow, Jenea (Daniel) Lester-Dulgar, Lorri (John) O'Donnell, Teresa (Scott) Rogers, Stacey (Roger) Gehrke; grandchildren, Gordy, Jason (Jenny), Janie, Angelica, Harvey, Cassie, Paula (Marvin), T.T., Crystal, Barbara, Angela (Wes), Patricia, Ashley, Andrew, Melissa, Zac, Josh, Matt, Meggie; great grandchildren, Johnny, Jayden, Allie, Devon, Bradley, Candice, Elena, Breanna, Becca, Brooke, Morgan; mother in-law, Dorothy Lester.Predeceased by her parents, father in-law Willard Lester; granddaughters, Jessica Lynn Morrison, Rachael Rae Rogers.
