Gerardo Lopez, 71, of Belvidere, IL passed away on November
2, 2019 in Rockford, IL. He was born on October 4, 1948 in Nayarit, Mexico to
Joaquin Zuñiga and Maria Guadalupe Lopez. He married his loving wife of 40 years,
Yolanda Ramirez, in 1979 in California. Gerardo was a member of the Iglesia
Pentecostal Arca de Salvacion in Rockford, IL. He loved baseball, watching old
time movies, in Spanish, and watching bull riding. But most importantly, he loved
and adored his family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Yolanda; his children,
Yolanda (Jorge) Vazquez, Elizabeth (Jose) Navarro, and Jesus Lopez; his
grandchildren, Bianca S. Vazquez-Lopez, Jose Gerardo Navarro-Lopez, and one
grandbaby on the way; his brothers and sisters, Ampelio Arangure, Guadalupe,
Mafalda, Martina, Veronica, and Alfonso.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday,
November 8, 2019 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut
Ave., Belvidere, IL, 61008. A short visitation will also be from 10:00 a.m. to
11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation
Services. A prayer service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019
at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services. Jose F. and Dora A. Sosa will be
officiating. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Gerardo's
name may be directed to the family to establish a memorial at a later date. To
