Obituary

Gerard "Jerry" Zwick, 93, of Marengo, IL passed away peacefully on September 14, 2020 surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on May 11, 1927 in Appleton, WI to John and Lydia (Kuntz) Zwick. He married the love of his life, Beverly Browne, on July 17, 1954 in Joliet, IL. He held a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. Jerry then received his master's degree and went on to start his own business, Kishwaukee Enterprise, where he worked for over 15 years. Jerry served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church where he volunteered as an usher. Jerry was a member of the American Legion for 45 years and the NRA.

Jerry loved hunting, he traveled all over the world to hunt. He also loved fishing, photography, traveling with his wife, and Garden Prairie shooting competitions. But most importantly, Jerry loved being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Jerry will be missed by his wife, Beverly; his daughters, Kathryn Zwick, Kim Conrad, Karen (Dave) Hagglund, and Kristine Zwick; his brothers, Dave, Tom, and James Zwick; his grandchildren, Aaron, Nathan, Arianna, Sarah, Ashley, Alexandria, Dennis, and Danny; and his 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lydia and his sister, Beverly Smith.
