Geraldine Mae Gorham, 93, died peacefully, February 3, 2024 at Maple Crest Care Centre in Belvidere, IL.  She was born February 21, 1930, in Belvidere, daughter to Fred and Belle (Wixon) Huntington. Geraldine graduated Belvidere High School. She married Francis Gorham, August 15, 1969 in Belvidere. She worked for 15 years at Grim Nash Insurance and Maple Crest until she retired at age 82. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her dear family.

Geraldine will be missed by her step children, Judy (late Gary) Lamping, Cindy ( late James) Gorham, and Cindy (Bill) Hathaway; nieces and nephews, Glenn (Linda) Smith, Judy (Jim) Cavanah, Marlene (Kent) Williams, Susan (Terry) Sanford, Mark (Shelley) Huntington; step grandchildren, Zach (Dena) Lamping, Dena Gates, Tanya (Brad) Surdick, James (Jeni) Gorham, Tyler (Sam) Hathaway; great grandchildren, Aaron (Alexis) Lamping, Alyssa Lamping, Connor Gates, Andrew Gates, Kai Surdick, Dex Surdick; great niece and nephews, Beth (Erik) Stephans, Michelle (Troy) Evans, Jessica (Michael) Ramano, Derek (Kelly) Sanford, Mallory (Shane) Pannell, Emily (Heath) Chambers, Chelsey Huntington, Jarrod (Erin) Smith, Matthew (Whitney) Cavanah, Mitchell (Jessica) Cavanah; great- great nieces and nephews, Brody, Addison and Levi Smith, Katelyn (Zackery) Withrow, Rachel (Michael ) Josephitis, Casandra (Jake) Witherow, Natalie Williams and Zachary Bender, Zachary and Austin Evans, Aerick and James Stephans, Reese, Paisley, Callie Ramano; Rowan, Harlow, Riggins Chambers, Georgia Sanford, Stanley, Maltilda, Preston, Lincoln and Kennedy Cavanah; and Brody, Addison and Levi Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Francis; sisters, Clara belle Huntington, Wylladene Smith; brothers, Charles and Merle Huntington; stepson, James Gorham, Gary Lamping; granddaughter, Kaelyn Hathaway; niece, Meriel Ann Huntington; and great- great niece, Alexandra Williams.

Geraldine's visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Belvidere Assembly of God, 1105 7th Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A funeral service to follow. Pastor David Smith will officiate.

Burial will be at Belvidere Cemetery at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2023.
