Geraldine M. "Geri" Ambler, 92, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully, June 6, 2017 at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere. Born August 10, 1924 in Belvidere, daughter of Charles and Lura (Brainard) Leonard. Geri married Russel C. Wych on June 28, 1947 in Belvidere, he preceded her in death on December 5, 1967. She went on to marry George W. Ambler on January 22, 1972 in Belvidere, he preceded her in death on September 25, 2006. Geri was employed by Camcar/Taptite as an inspector for 26 years. She was a faithful member of Saint John's United Church of Christ, where she served on the ladies guild. Geri loved country music and square dancing. She and George loved spending their summers at their cabin at Lake Koshkonong and winters in Arizona.

Geri is loved and missed by her son, Allen (Barbara) Wych; grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin Boulier) Lennon, Julie Lennon, and Andrew (Christen) Lennon; 4 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Steve (Linda) Lennon; sister-in-law, Dorothy Leonard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Russel and George, daughter, Bonnie Lennon; and siblings, Rollin (Arlene) Leonard, Gladys (Robert) Coleman, Ida Belle (Frank) Dimario, Myrtle (Albert) Schult, and Warren Leonard.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave with Rev. Muriel Morley-Jahn officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., until 10:45 a.m., prior to the service. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint John's United Church of Christ.
