Gerald "Gerry" P. Reed, 83, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully in his sleep, November 12, 2021 in Belvidere.He was born October 15, 1938, in Belvidere to George and Janette (Lietzel) Reed.He graduated from Belvidere High School.Gerry worked for AGCS Communications for 35 years and Rodix for 15 years.Gerry married the love of his life, Diane (Knott), on August 8, 1988 at Bible Baptist Church.He was a proud Air Force Veteran who served for 6 years.Gerry was also a proud member of B.T.A.R.C., G.P.I.A, Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Museum Membership, Class Reunion and American Legion. He loved all dogs & cats, enjoyed listening to Ham Radio, Bluegrass music, visiting Garden Prairie Park, and assembling R.C. planes and flying them.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Diane; son, Dean (Kristine) Reed; grandchildren, Christopher, Meghan and Joshua; great-grandchild, Paul; fur baby, Bella Beagle.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue., Belvidere, IL 61008.Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Shattuck Grove Cemetery, 9160 Reeds Crossing Rd., Belvidere, IL 61008.
