Gerald W. "Jerry" Kaiser, 73, of Belvidere, died Monday, September 23, 2013 in his home after a lengthy illness. He was born August 2, 1940 in Middle Ridge, WI; the son of Joseph and Marie (Antony) Kaiser. Jerry was married to Eunice Schmidt on August 12, 1961 at St. Joseph's Ridge, WI. He was a truck driver for Cassens Transport for 33 years. Jerry was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Belvidere; Teamsters Local 325; Knights of Columbus Council 735; American Legion Post 77 and the Moose Lodge 295. He is survived by his wife, Eunice, of Belvidere; children, Scott (Linda) Kaiser, Belvidere; Julie Kaiser, Cherry Valley, IL; William (Jennifer) Kaiser, Roscoe, IL; Daughter-in-law, Vicki Kaiser, Wildomar, CA; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Jeremy, Dan, Maggie, Mitchell, Owen and Lauren; two great-grandchildren, Kaylynn and Tyler; six sisters, Harriet (Charles) Nicol, Alice Silha, Loretta Servais, Rose (LaVerne) Schaller, Mary Ann Hillby, and Nancy Kaiser. Jerry is preceded in death by son, Tim Kaiser; Parents; Sister, Bernice Mashak; three brothers, Joseph, Cletus and Rich Kaiser. Jerry's family wishes to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice in Rockford especially, Julianna for the wonderful care they provided him and the support for the rest of his family.
