Gerald E. Cole, 66, of Belvidere, Illinois, died peacefully surrounded by his family on June 16, 2016. He was born to Daniel and Laverne Cole in Belvidere, on October 13, 1949. He attended and graduated Belvidere High School and was employed as a Header Operator/Machinist for more than forty years. He married his sweetheart, Kathleen, on April 3, 1967 in Clayton, Mo. Gerald was an Avid Minnesota Viking fan, loved Western movies, loved spending time with his family and had a true passion for his grandchildren. He lived and taught his children the Golden Rule. He taught how to treat people right. His sense of humor will be truly missed. His humor and the use of Emr'some will be passed down to his sons.
He was also a proud member of the Fratenal Order of Eagles #3414 and Auxiliary member of the VFW.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Linda (Edwin) Colson and sons, Gerald (Heather) Cole, Jr. and Troy (Theresa) Cole; his brother, Robert (Diane) and his two sisters, Jenny Ralston and Laura (Raymond) Luckie; his grandchildren, Amanda (Scott), Kyle (Stephanie) , Jessica, Emily, Alexander, Olivia, Jacob and Micheal; and his great grand-son, Ross. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a sister-in -law, Linda Cole. He is predeceased by his parents; a brother, Stephen; and an infant sister, Linda.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m., June 20, 2016  at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 West Hurlbut, Belvidere, Illinois, 61008 with Pastor Jarrod Severing officiating.
