Gerald D. Bohm, 87, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2020 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. Gerald was born on April 25, 1933 in East Peoria, IL to David and Georgia (Horn) Bohm. He married Irene Hootman on December 21, 1952 in Pekin, IL. Gerald began farming at a very young age and continued to farm as he grew older. He retired from Aubrey's Manufacturing and Chicago's Carpenter's Union after being a dedicated employee for a number of years. Gerald loved to hunt, and he hunted up until a few years ago. He also loved to fish, camp, garden, and just be outdoors.

Gerald will be dearly missed by his daughters, Debra (Joe) Schmalen and Kristi Forsell; son-in-law, David Walters; brother, David (Della) Bohm; grandchildren, Aimee Hansen, Ryan Schmalen, Michael Walters, Jennifer McCormick, and Amanda Wieczorek; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Sarah Hansen, Tyler and Ethan Schmalen, Brendan, Callie, and Abigail Walters, Andrew McCormick, and Colin and Wyatt Wieczorek.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene; his daughter, Patricia Walters; and his son-in-law, Stacey Forsell.
