Georgia Kochan, 75, of Belvidere, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Saint Anthony Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 18, 1941 in Chicago, IL, daughter of George and Margaret (Russell) Philp. Georgia married the love of her life, Dennis A. Kochan on May 29, 1965 in Niles, IL. She was employed at Striker Lanes in Buffalo Grove, IL. Georgia loved shopping, bowling, cooking, and making crafts. Most of all, she adored her family.

Georgia is loved and missed by her husband, Dennis; children, Denise (Dean) Wirth of Fox River Grove, IL, Scot (Sharon) Kochan of Richmond, IL, and Janet (Chris) Zelek of Loves Park, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Loach, Melly (Eddie Serrano) Wirth, Shannon Zelek, Deana Wirth, Tyler Kochan, Matthew Zelek, Ryan Kochan; a devoted sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James, and sisters, Marjorie, Elizabeth, and Mary.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m., until the time of service. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
