George O. Muck, 101, of Belvidere, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Maple Crest Care Center following a sudden illness. Born December 7, 1907 in Carrigan Twp., Maroin Co., Illinois, the son of Henry and Mary Silva (McHaney) Muck. George has resided in Belvidere for the past 8 years, coming here from Mountain Home, Ark. He was married to Edna Funderburk. George was a farmer in the Galesburg, Ill. area. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Joanne Muck, Rockford; son, Leon (Katie) Muck, Palos Verde Estates, Cal.; seven grandchildren, Jane (Paul) Zeien; Dale (Suzette) Muck; Nancy (Ron) Ramos; Lori (Austin) Reisetter; Lynn (Dennis) Brody; Curtis (Aimee) Muck; Janet (Mark) Young and fourteen great-grandchildren. George was preceded in dearth by his parents, wife, son, George A. Muck and two sisters, Pansy Raffel and Theresa Norton.
