Genevieve W. Wood, 86, of South Beloit, formerly of Belvidere died Sunday, June 10, 2007 in Beloit Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born February 7, 1921 in Genoa, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew and Inez (Storm) Walraven. She was married to Kirby Wood in Clinton, Iowa on June 17, 1939. She was a former member of Marengo United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. Women's auxiliary and the Women of the Moose. She graduated from Genoa Twp. High School, Class of 1939. She is survived by her two daughters, Norma (Kenneth) Streit, Scottsdale, Arizona; Judy (Gary) Behl, Clinton, Wisconsin; seven granddaughters; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Peterson, Belvidere; Mildred May, Florida and brother, Donald (Jackie) Walraven, Belvidere; predeceased by her husband, Son, Gerald Wood and sister, Blanche Hart.
