Genevieve M. DuPont, 82, of Belvidere, Died Monday, June 28, 2010 in Maple Crest Care Center following a long illness. She was born on October 26, 1927 in Belvidere, daughter of Emil and Lucille (Pundt) Johnson. Genevieve graduated from Belvidere High School, class of 1946. She married Clarence A. DuPont in Belvidere on December 11, 1948. She worked in the accounts receivable office at J.D. Roper Co. She later worked in the tax assessors' office as a processing representative in the Boone County Clerk's office. Genevieve was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Genevieve is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Clarence, of Belvidere; a son, Doug (Lynne) DuPont of Caledonia, Illinois; two grandchildren, Melinda and Dan DuPont. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Doris Winne.
