Gary A. Kasper, 57, of Garden Prairie, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 23,2017. He was born on July 24, 1959, in Belvidere, the son of Carol (Haffenden) Smith and Gordon A. Kasper. Gary graduated from North Boone High School in 1977.  On September 21,1985 Gary married the love of his life Shari Larson in Belvidere, IL. Gary was the owner and president of Kasper Trucking and previously worked at Camcar. He loved everything to do with sports, he enjoyed fishing, cars and his Golden Retrievers. Gary loved his family and was a member of Life Church in Roscoe.

Gary is loved and missed by his wife, Shari; children, Jacob (Brooke Kurth) Kasper, Joshua (Jessica Hardy) Kasper; mother, Carol (Ken) Smith; sister, Cynthia Kasper; brothers, Gordy (Aimee) Kasper, Ed Kasper; father-in-law, John (Margaret Schultz) Larson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon A. Kasper and mother-in-law, Ginger Larson.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Life Church 5910 Elevator Rd, Roscoe, IL 61073, with Pastor Scott Gipson and Pastor Evelyn Gipson officiating. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm till 5:45 pm Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Life Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
