Belvidere, ILGary M. Carlson, 60 of Belvidere, IL died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in his home after a sudden illness. Gary was born in Rockford, IL the son of Norman E. and June K. (Nielsen) Carlson. He retired from Verizon in Genoa where he was an inspector. Gary was an avid reader, enjoyed experimenting with bees and honey and dabbled in real estate. Survivors include his father, Norman of Belvidere; sister, Karen (Robert) Lewin of St. Charles; brother, Allen B. Carlson of Springfield. Gary is predeceased by his mother, June.
