Gail P. Weir-Ostrom, 82, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Rockford, IL. Gail was born March 31,1939 in Oak Park, IL. Gail married the love of her life, Wayne Ostrom Sr., on May 8, 1959. Gail was a graduate of Proviso East High School and worked for Illinois Tool Works as a supervisor. She was a lifetime member of the VFW in McHenry, IL and the Polish Legion of American Veterans Chapter 188 in McHenry, IL where she served as Zone 3 President, IL State President and was the recording secretary for many years. Gail proudly spent much time volunteering for veteran organizations. Gail loved going to the cabin in Wisconsin, going out on the boat, and enjoyed sharing "Up North" with family and friends. Most importantly, Gail loved her family and the time she spent with her great-granddaughter, Amelia (Puddin Head). She will be missed by all.

Gail is loved and missed by her children, Wayne (Robin) Ostrom Jr., Scott (Cheryl) Ostrom Sr., Candace Ostrom; sister, Marie Taylor; grandchildren, Mallori Ostrom, Wayne Ostrom III, Scott (Brittany) Ostrom Jr., 3 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; grandson, Eric Ostrom; siblings Kathy Dean and Willard Taylor.

The visitation for Gail will be held 2:00-3:45 p.m., Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008.
