Gail M. Johnson, 70, of Belvidere IL, died peacefully November 20, 2020 with family by his side. Gail was born May 31, 1950 in Belvidere, IL the son of George and Ruth (Stall) Johnson. Gail spent his younger years growing up on the family farm outside of Capron. Gail attended Rock Valley College and worked his way through NIU to obtain his CPA. Gail early in life worked for Chrysler then worked in the accounting department for Fox 39. He married the love of his life Karen on January 6, 1979 at St. Edwards Catholic Church. Gail loved spending time reading, studying history, camping but most importantly spending time with his family.

Gail is loved and missed by his wife, Karen; son, Rob Johnson; brother, Glenn (Linda) Johnson; sister-in-law, Jackie Johnson; brother-in-law, Jerry Mundy as well a numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, George Johnson, Gladys Mundy and Gloria Mittman.
