Fritz J. Carlson, 82, passed away November 14, 2021, at home in Belvidere, IL. He was born November 7, 1939, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, son to Fritz O. and Cassie E. Kloski. He graduated from Irene S. Reed High School, Shelton, Washington. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a submariner aboard the USS Bang, USS Tusk, USS Skate, and USS Skipjack. Fritz was a 32nd degree Master Mason of theUnion Lodge, No. 31, A.F. & A.M. in New London, Connecticut.He enjoyed flying planes and driving classic cars, and spending time with family, friends, and his grandchildren. He loved being outdoors and keeping up with his lawn and garden.

Fritz is loved and will be missed by his wife, Marlene; sons, John (Cynthia Campbell) Carlson, Andrew (Kari) Carlson; and daughter, Kay (Matt) Woltman; brother, Conrad Carlson; sisters, Joan Carlson and Nancy (Jim) Mirck; grandchildren, Josie and Stevie; and Wyatt and Fritz; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Phyllis and Lorraine.

A visitation will befrom 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2021, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services,218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Masonic Rites will be accordedat 12:30 p.m.
