Fred I. "Sunny" Cox, 66, of South Beloit passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in his home after a sudden illness.  Fred was born May 22, 1951 in Columbus, WI the son of Fred H. and Catherine "Helen" Cox.  He married Janet Mattox on March 8, 2012 in Belvidere.  Prior to his retirement, Fred was the owner of Cox electric.  Fred enjoyed fishing, meeting with his breakfast club, baking cookies and making his wonderful potato soup.

Fred is loved and will be missed by his wife, Janet; children, Traci (Zack) Davis of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Kurt (Anita) Cox of Victor, SD, Kyle (Andrea Rosmann) Cox of Chicago, Todd Schultz of Beloit and Eric (Lisa) Schultz of Janesville, WI; grandchildren, Dylan, Catherine, Ryne, Kody, Kalyb, Ayanna, Sara (Cory); brother and sisters, Christine (Joe) Buckner of Rockton, Jean Cox of Ft. Atkinson, James (Mary Jill) Cox of Belvidere; numerous nieces and nephews.  Fred is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with a time of reflection and sharing at 5:00 p.m.  Fred was buried in Portage, Wisconsin.  Memorials can be given in care of the Shriner's Hospital for Children in Fred's memory.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
