Francis D. "Frank" Demar, 73, of Poplar Grove, Ill, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a short illness. He was born December 15, 1934 in Northfield, Vermont, the son of William and Mildred (Dunsmoor) Demar. He has lived 8 years in Poplar Grove, coming from Elgin and Geneva, Ill. He was married to Sandra L. Thompson in Elgin, Ill. on June 5, 1993. He was employed as an Expediter for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1984. He was a veteran of Korea serving in the Air Force. He was a member of Grove Fellowship in Poplar Grove. In his free time he enjoyed working outside. He is survived by wife, Sandy, Poplar Grove; seven children, Judy (Richard) Raddatz, Geneva, Ill.; Jim (Marie) Demar, Mt. Prospect, Ill.; John (Jennifer) Demar, Oconomowoc, Wis.; Desiree (Tracy) Munch, Esmond, Ill.; Joseph Thompson, Belvidere; Mitzie Krieger, Poplar Grove, Ill.; Molly (Rob) Bakulski, Belvidere, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, Maria, Scott, Sarah (soon to be born), Autumn, Adam, Ridge, Cole, Morgan, Lacey, Nathan, Arielle, Magen, Lily and Kaid. His 4 siblings, Fred Demar; Shirley (Vernon) Hicks, Edwin Demar and Richard Demar. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard.
