Frances E. Taylor, 92 of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere. Frances was born August 18, 1924, to John and Edwina F. (Plane) Thornton in Cherry Valley. She married her sweetheart, Melvin Taylor, on December 24, 1942 in Belvidere. She was married for 72 wonderful years. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. She also loved to read and work on crossword puzzles.

Frances is loved and will be missed by her husband, Melvin; son, Dennis (Barbara) Taylor; daughter, Kathy Taylor; grandchildren, Brian (Shelley) Rohda, Staci (Bryon) Holley, Pamela (John) Coduto, and Jeffrey (Chris) Sturm; great- grandchildren, Zachary Rohda, Brooklyn Holley, Dakota (Areli), Titus, and Shelby Sturm, and Valerie Sage; and great-great grandchild, Nicholas Sage; and nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008 with Reverend Dan Schenck officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery.  Memorials to be established to the family at a later date.
