Frances Ruth Swanson, 98, of Belvidere, IL, passed away April 23, 2023 at OSF Hospital. She was born on April 24,1924 in Genoa, IL. The daughter of Florence (Shearer) and Willie Worley. She married the love of her life, Clarence Swanson, on August 27, 1944. Together they shared two children and 73 years of marriage. She was a deeply dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Frances was employed for many years at JCPenney as a stockroom manager, and also worked at McDonalds as a cook. She primarily spent her employment as a bookkeeper, with her husband's welding business. Frances was also devoted to her faith, she attended Maywood Evangelical Free Church. She journaled nearly every day. She will be remembered for her hard-working nature and loving heart.

Frances is loved and will be missed by her children, Elaine Swanson, Earl (Beverly) Swanson; grandchildren, Matthew (Michele) Swanson, Kelli (Greg) Morrow; great-grandchildren, Emilee, Zachary, Blakelynn, Jake, Kiirstin, Kallista; great-great granddaughter, Quinn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; sisters, Hazel Kindberg and Helen Lungstrom; and brothers, Lawrence, Lester and Clarence Worley.

Frances' visitation will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 between the hours of 5-7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL. Her funeral service will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial to Follow at Flora Cemetery.
