Floyd Robert Anderson, 92, of Belvidere, IL, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Presence Saint Anne Center surrounded by his family. Born May 29, 1923 in Marengo, IL, son of Oscar and Olive Anderson. He married Marie Butram on August 8,1953 in Belvidere, IL. Floyd worked for Marlowe Feed and Hatchery for 25 years retiring in 1988. He enjoyed his antique tractors and in 1994 was instrumental in starting the Antique Tractors exhibit at the Boone County Fair. Floyd was a director of the Boone County Fair, member of County Line Grange and the Northern Illinois Vintage Tractor & Engine Association.  Floyd made his spiritual home at Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL.

Floyd is loved and will be missed by his wife, Marie; children Larry (Karen) Anderson, Alan Anderson, Mark Anderson, Greg (Debbie) Anderson, Elizabeth (Daryl) Mootrey, Donna (Paul) Parry; foster son, Mike Pettenger; grandchildren, Kyle, Stefanie, Mark II, Michelle, Mitchell, Curtis, Jessica, Stroh, Tarika, Landon, Lydia, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; foster granddaughter and caregiver, Heather Martens. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Exner, Lucille Larson, Helen Butler and granddaughter, Faith Parry.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1300 Pearl St, Belvidere, IL 61008. Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 12 from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere IL, 61008 and from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at the Church. Burial will take place at Highland Garden of Memories.
