Obituary

Florence Jeanette Frazer (nee Bochenek) a long-time resident of Belvidere, IL passed away Saturday, September 16th at Neighbors At Generations Nursing Center in Byron, IL.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 23rd followed by A Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm, at Anderson Funeral Home in Belvidere, IL. Burial will follow at Belvidere Cemetery.

Florence was born to Stanislaus and Marya (Slopek) Bochenek, in Chicago, IL August 29, 1929.  She eloped with the love of her life, Rozel M. Frazer shortly after midnight, New Year's Eve, January 1, 1953 in Evanston, IL, followed by a ceremony at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Chicago, IL on April 11, 1953. They moved to Belvidere in 1957 and lived in the Frazer family home for over 50 years. They enjoyed yearly summer camping vacations with their daughters and later in life took many guided bus trips.  She graduated from St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic School in Chicago, IL and attended De Paul University in Chicago, IL. She worked at Montgomery Ward's Corporate Office in downtown Chicago, Belvidere Telephone Company, and Belvidere Daily Republican. She was a Boone County Election Judge for many years.

Florence is predeceased by her parents, Stanislaus and Marya; her husband, Rozel M. Frazer; and her siblings Walter Bochenek, Sophie Kastner, and Helen Kowalski.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Pamela (James Michael) LaMont; Susan (Charlie) Diamond; Nancy (Richard) Ludwig; Lesley Frazer, and Patricia (Joseph) Flynn. Grandchildren, Stephanie (Thomas Still) VanGeel; Rachel Schenck; Charles "Marc" (Kelly) Diamond; RaeAnn (Joe) Hrudkaj; Rebecka Flynn; Katherine Ludwig; and Sarah Ludwig; Great Grandchildren, Connor, Michaela, Brett, Kiley, Aubrey, Reid, Addison, and Adelynn; Brother-In-Law, Richard  Frazer;  many nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Pastor Muriel, St. John's United Church of Christ, Belvidere, IL for her many visits to our mom. Transitions Hospice; especially Ellie, Aaron, Becky, and Vickie. Neighbors At Generations for the excellent care they provided our mom in her final days with us.
