Ekstrom, 99, of Belvidere, died early Thursday morning, May 19, 2005 in Maple Crest Nursing Home following a short illness. Born March 6, 1906 in Belvidere, the daughter of Theodore and Hulda (Rollins) Carlstrom. She married Paul Ekstrom in Sycamore, Illinois on June 8, 1925. She was employed as a Librarian for the Ida Public Library for 30 years, retiring 19 years ago. Member of Adeline Chapter #118, Order of Eastern Star. Florence is survived by cousin, Linda (Joe) Davis, Belvidere; two nieces, Pauline (Donald) Carlson, Rockford; Darlene Smoot, of California and numerous other cousins and relatives. She is predeceased by parents, her husband on November 23, 1962, son, Gene Ekstrom and his wife, Mary; and brother Clarence Carlstrom.
