F. Lucille Steurer, 78, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in her home surrounded by her family following an extended illness. Born October 31, 1928 in Iuka, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Trece (Holman) Behnke. She married Francis "Tommy" Steurer in Belvidere, Ill. on December 5, 1945. Lucille was employed as a sales clerk for Fleming's Western World. Member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her three children, Lynda Salley, Indianapolis, Ind.; Dale (Mary) Steurer and Brian (Lisa) Steurer, both of Belvidere, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Angela Fiems; Cassandra, Rebecca, Malari; Emilee Steurer; Paige and Nathan Steurer; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Kieran Fiems. A brother, Harold (Marilyn) Behnke, Kinmundy, Ill., many nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Douglas; two brothers and three sisters.
