Feliciana De Leon 85, Rockford, IL died peacefully, Monday evening, November 5, 2012 in the emergency room of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Feliciana was born July 12, 1927 in Cotulla, Texas the daughter of Patricio and Aurora (San Miguel) Salinas. Feliciana and Gregorio M. De Leon met in Texas in 1951, were married and have been together ever since. Feliciana worked for the 1st Step Daycare at Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere, until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, sewing, collecting dolls, traveling and attending Mass at St. James Catholic Church where she was a member.Feliciana is loved and will be missed by her husband, Gregorio of Rockford; children Anna (Basilio) Sanchez of Bloomington, IL, Gregory De Leon, Jr. of Rockford, Vi (Jerry) Vance of Roscoe, IL, Rebecca De Leon of Loves Park, Oscar (Mary) De Leon of Rockford, Norma (Tim) Murray of Belvidere, Elsa Martinez of Belvidere, Hector (Leticia) De Leon of Rockford; 29 Grandchildren, 36 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-Great- grandchild; sister Elena Montes of Lubbock, TX. Feliciana is predeceased by her parents, brother Martin Salinas of Lubbock, TX and great-granddaughter Thalia Arredondo.
