Evelyn (Boettcher) Richardson age 84 was called home November 5, 2006 from OSF St. Anthony Hospital after a brief illness.She was born February 19, 1922 the daughter of August and Emma (Pageloff) Boettcher.Evelyn later married the love of her life, former police chief of Belvidere Kenneth "Ted" Richardson on June 29, 1940 in Dubuque Iowa. Evelyn was employed by GTE as a draftsman for 25 years before retiring in 1978. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. Evelyn was also a member of the Boone County Saddle Club, and loved to go snowmobiling and motorcycling. She had a passion for raising all different kinds of animals, but always made sure her family came first. Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter Sally (Dennis) Paugels, adoring grandchildren Jay (Beth) Johnson of Dieterich, IL, and Jan (Joe) Renkas of Armstrong Creek, WI; cherished great grandchildren, Erica Johnson, Eric Frye, Phillip Johnson, and Joey and Janeska Renkas; sister in law Lucille Boettcher, many nieces and nephews, and special pet Peanut. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Clarence "Sonny" (Elnora) Boettcher, Wilbert Boettcher, and sister Viola (Donald Sr.) Menge.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in Evelyn's name for a memorial to be established at a later date.
