Evelyn K. Campbell age 98 of Rockford, IL died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 in Provena Cor Mariae Center. Evelyn was born March 24, 1907 in Sterling, Illinois the daughter of George and Kathryn (Harms) Oncken. She married Fay L. Campbell in Sterling, IL in 1933. Evelyn worked in the office of Central IL Gas and Electric. Evelyn graduated from Sterling High School and Brown's Business College in Rockford. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and Lydia Circle of the church as well as being a member of Welsh School Mother's Study Group. Evelyn's family was very important to her and she loved to travel.Survivors include her children, Shirley (Jerry) Johannes of Niwot, CO, Gary (Sally) Campbell of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Kelly (Robert Phillips) Johannes, Kyla (Paul) O'Neill, Kathy (Mark) Lauen and Joel (Susan) Jacobson; great-grandchildren, Karolyn Pearson, Mallory Pearson, Haylie Lauen, Parker Lauen, Chase Lauen, Luke O'Neill and Jake O'Neill; step great-grandchildren, Kyle Malott and Amber Malott. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, husband, and sister Elsie Johnson.
