Eugene Gustafson, 89 of Belvidere died Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Northwoods Care Center. Eugene, the son of Elmer and Beulah (Stevens) Gustafson was born July 11, 1927 in Steward Township, IL. He married the love of his life Beverly Brody on June 28, 1952. Eugene and Beverly were blessed to share sixty-two years of marriage. Together, they farmed and he worked at various manufacturing facilities.  Eugene was mechanically inclined and loved tinkering with things. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers. Eugene had a huge love of dogs.

He is survived by his children, Rose (Elmer) Jackson, Marsha (Andy Dach) Gustafson, Bonnie Sladek, and Steven Gustafson; sister, Marlene Aneja and nephew, David Aneja. Eugene is predeceased by his wife and parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dr. Robert Kopp officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service. Burial will take place in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
