Esther J.P. Tomamichel of Wesley Willows, Rockford went to her rest January 25, 2015. She was born in Argyle, Illinois on Nov. 18, 1913, the daughter of Emil and Alma C. (Hacker) Peterson. Married in Kahalia, Missouri, May 3, 1941 to the late Rollan R. Tomamichel.  Esther was a resident of Belvidere for 60 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Ada Stearns Fellowship, former Sunday School Teacher and superintendent of the Primary Dept. of First Baptist Church.  Esther was President of Sorosis Society in 1970-1973 and again in 1994-1997.  She was a member of Belvidere Women's Club, worked at the Belvidere Community Concert Association and chairwoman of Mobil Meals for First Baptist Church, also a member of Boone County Council of arts and Mendelssohn.

Esther loved traveling with her husband and visited all 50 states and capitols. Also traveling to Canada and several countries in Europe and Israel.  She loved playing cards of all kinds – especially Bridge.

Preceding her in death is her husband, parents and two brothers, Albert and Elmer Peterson, two sisters, Lucille Peterson Magnusson and Anna Peterson Zellgert.  Esther is survived by daughter Kay A. Tomamichel and son-in-law Michael Tomamichel of Las Vegas, Nevada and brother Delbert (Lois) Peterson.  She also had several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday January 30, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, Illinois 61008, with Rev. Rex Rogers officiating.
