Ernest E Wilson, 89, of Belvidere, IL passed away, Wednesday March 21, 2018 in Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere. Ernest was born November 26, 1928 the son of James and Beatrice (Steiner) Wilson. He graduated Belvidere High School in 1947 and worked as an electrician for Sundstrand for 29 years. He married Bertha who preceded him in death in 1989. Later in life, Ernest married Mary, who preceded him in death in 2008. Ernest was passionate about gardening, woodworking and square dancing. He was a member of the Belvidere Moose Lodge, lifetime member of the Boon Co. Historical Society and the Rock River Area Square Dancers.

He is loved and will be missed by his children, Carol Duplessis, Ron (Pat) Wilson, Larry Wilson; Sister Doris Lucky; 3 grand-children, 11 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, special friend Marie and many additional friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Bertha, wife Mary; parents and sister Betty.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008, with Rev. Scott Nellis officiating.
