Ernest "Ernie" Kreger, 77, passed away peacefully on May 23,
2019 in Rockford, Illinois. Born on August 5, 1941 to Clifford and Mary
(Horsthemke) Kreger. Ernie married the love of his life, the late, Janice Smith.
He worked for Chrysler in the maintenance department for a number of years.
Ernie faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He was a member
of the Good Times Car Club. Ernie loved spending time with his family, cars,
and riding motorcycles.

Ernie is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Frank) Paulson;
siblings, Paulette Heinzman, Clifford (Susan) Kreger, and Roxanne (Roger)
Anderson; his 3 grandchildren, Gabby Paulson, Matt Martenson, and Joshua
Martenson; and his 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and Maks Martenson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; his parents;
and his daughter Barbara Martenson.

A visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. on
Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W
Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL, 61008. A funeral ceremony will take place at 1:00
p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev.
Pam Lojewski will officiate. Burial will take place in Belvidere Cemetery.
