Emma E. Butz, 82, of Belvidere, IL died Thursday night, January 13, 2011 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a lingering illness. Emma was born October 8, 1928 in Belvidere the daughter of William and Verna (Morris) Hale. She married Mr. Vyrl Butz on June 15, 1947 in Clinton, Wisconsin. Emma worked for the Belvedere Company as an assembler for 25 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461 VFW Auxiliary, the Keen Age Center and T.O.P.S. IL-382- Belvidere.Survivors include her children, Joyce (Chris) Barlow of Tomah, WI, Debora (Myles) Carlson of Rockford, Dawn Crooks of Cape Coral, FL; seven grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Jean (William) Lueder of Janesville, WI. Emma is predeceased by her parents, husband, Vyrl in 2001; brothers, William Hale and Frank Hale.The family acknowledges the tender loving care given to Emma by her care giver Shirley Griffin.
