Elsie N. Lott, 89, of Caledonia, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born June 28, 1923 in Makanda, Illinois; the daughter of Samuel and Cleo (Cooper) Hawk. Elsie married Arthur A. Lott in Jackson, Missouri on June 10, 1939. As a homemaker, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing handiwork and flowers. But most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her six children, Doris Bowers, Jerald Lott, Frances (Al) DiVerdi, Larry (Debbie) Lott, Lyle (Debbie) Lott and Lila (David) Kline; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; two sisters, Viola Milton and Rachel Sanders, a brother, Samuel (Linda) Hawk; numerous nieces and nephews. Elsie is preceded in death by parents, husband, Arthur, daughter, Sula and husband, Dale Brick; grandson, Mark Lott; son-in-law, Wayne Bowers; sister, Maxine and husband, Lester Milton, brother, Raymond and wife, Esther Hawk, brother-in-law, Cletus Milton.
