Elon "Bud" L. Boardman Jr., 81, of Belvidere IL., passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, with family by his side. He was born October 2, 1940, in Poplar Grove, IL, the son of Elon Sr. and Eleanor (Strugnell) Boardman. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Chrysler after 41 years. Bud loved spending time with his family, building houses and helping his wife, Darlene with daycare kids that she had for 30 years. He was always willing to help anyone out.

He is loved and missed by his wife, Darlene (LaPointe) Boardman; his sons, Tom (Cheryl) and Joe Boardman; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nakita, and Owen; sister, Darlene (Frank); and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stephen Boardman, Bob Boardman, David Boardman; and sister, Joanne Dieter. A special thanks to Moment's Hospice.
