Eloisa Castillo, 90, of Belvidere, IL died Thursday evening, May 29, 2014 in her home after a lingering illness.  Eloisa was born February 29, 1924 in Pearsall, Texas the daughter of Juan and Elvira (Mendez) Chavera.  Eloisa was a member of St. James Catholic Church; she enjoyed dancing and flower gardening.

Eloisa is loved and will be missed by her children, Irenia Olson, Domingo Castillo, Manuel Castillo, Maria Gonzales, Joe Louis Castillo, Torivio Castillo; sisters, Ramona Trevino and Mary Rizzo; brothers, Ralph, Juan, Jessie Chavera; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; Eloisa is preceded in death by her parents; children, Florinda, Maria and Domingo Castillo; brothers, Lucio, Delfino, Beno, Ray, Fermin and Vale Chavera; sister, Ramona Chavera; half siblings, Maria, Magdalena, Sophia, Paula and Julian Chavera.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. John Earl of St. James Catholic church officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery.  Memorials can be given in care of the family.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
